Realities of Teen Drinking: Accidents, Deaths, and Parent-Battles
The Vienna-Madison Community Coalition invites parents and teens to a dialogue with local experts, "Realities of Teen Drinking: Accidents, Deaths, and Parent-Battles" on Tuesday, November 18, 2008, 7:00-8:30 p.m. at Warhawk Hall, James Madison High School. Featured:
- Lt. Col. Suzanne Devlin, FCPD Deputy Chief of Police, with a police perspective
- MADD Speaker - a parent who has lost a teen to drunk driving
- Mary Ann Sprouse, Certified Substance Abuse Counselor - sharing tips for parents on communicating with teens
Sponsored by the Vienna-Madison Community Coalition, an FCPS school-community
coalition under its Safe and Drug-Free Youth Section, the JMHS PTSA,
and the Countywide Initiative to Reduce Underage Drinking.
Funding provided by Safe and Drug-Free Schools and Communities Act Federal Funds
and the Drug Free Communities Support Program grant.

George C. Marshall High School International Baccalaureate Program Orientation Program
Parents and students grades 7 – 10 are invited to attend the George C. Marshall High School International Baccalaureate Program Orientation Program at George C. Marshall High School Auditorium (7731 Leesburg Pike – Falls Church, VA 22043) on Thursday, November 19, 2008, 7 – 8:30 p.m.
The program will feature current and graduate Marshall IB students, parents, the principal,
Director of Student Services, and IB Coordinators.

2009 All Night Grad Celebration
An Alcohol- and Drug-free All Night Celebration for our Seniors on graduation night -- 16 June, 2009 -- which includes food, dancing, a Casino, pool activities, games, PRIZES, gift bags… and more PRIZES! All at Springhill Recreation Center, McLean, VA!
How YOU Can Help!
-- Register your Senior now. Have your Senior get their friends to register also. Registration forms will be emailed out and are available in the GCM Front Office. You can also obtain the registration form from the PTSA website HERE.
-- Buy 2008 White House Ornaments for friends and family. Sell them in your neighborhood and at your work. Selling the ornaments is one of our biggest fundraisers. Thank you in advance for your support! For a photo of this year's ornament and more information, look at the flyer HERE.
-- Email us names (and contact information) for people you know at companies and corporations who we can approach for a donation of $$$, or in-kind items or services (for our 350 Seniors).
-- Volunteer to join the ANGC Committee …or volunteer your spouse or friend!
Working together, we WILL give our Seniors a special and safe celebration!
