The golf tournament fundraiser is scheduled on Friday, October 5th at 1 pm at the Penderbrook Golf Club in Fairfax, VA. It will be a shotgun format. Ornament fundraiser: We still have the limited edition GCM ornaments available for purchase at $20 each. There is additional shipping and handling cost for those ornaments sent or delivered to your home. Order forms may be downloaded from the PTSA website: http://gcmptsa.org/forms/GCMHSOrnamentOrderForm.pdf . Because the school year is ending soon and the school construction will be in full force, the office hours during the summer are limited and undetermined as of this time. All completed orders and checks must be mailed to Malou Rennert at 1208 Tottenham Court, Reston, VA 20194.
Sponsorship and Donations: We need your help getting sponsors for this event. Please help us spread the word. Tickets: The tickets will be sold online starting in September. We are trying hard to raise funds so we can keep the ticket price at a reasonable price so more people can attend. We are hoping to get the price set by the end of August. For any alumni class who wants to reserve a table now and get preferred seating, the cost is $1000/table (10 people).
Marshall Hall of Hame: We are excited to announce that the Marshall Hall of Fame committee will be inducting six candidates during the 50th anniversary celebration. Details to follow.
Speakers: We are proud to announce that Kathrine Switzer, Class of 1964 alumna will be one of our guest speakers. She was the pioneer woman who ran the Boston marathon, author of The Marathon Woman, a public speaker and TV commentator who won an Emmy in 1997, and was inducted to the National Women’s Hall of Fame in 2011.
Silent Auction: We are doing a silent auction at the gala to raise money for special equipment and other items for the school. We are still need of donations like sports tickets, sports memorabilia, restaurant gift certificates, vacation homes, gift cards, jewelry, etc. Please contact Pia Bridges at [email]GCMDonations@gmail.com] to donate.

School Tour: We will be scheduling a school tour for those who are interested. Date and time will be posted later.
Homecoming: The homecoming game is on Friday, September 28. We are still looking into the possibility of doing a homecoming parade this year for the 50th anniversary celebration.
